FONTES
is a queer artist born and raised by the warm ocean water of the Brazilian northeast. She developed her craft while completing a law degree, blending the subversive and collaborative art of her country with techniques inspired by renowned law and theatre practitioner Augusto Boal. She came to the U.S. to get an M.F.A., but because of Salt and Straw’s ooey gooey brownie chocolate ice cream, she is staying indefinitely.
